Wang Chung - (1985) To Live And Die In L.A. (Music From The Motion Picture) LP

 Geffen Records ‎– GHS 24081
Wiki: The To Live and Die in L.A. soundtrack is Wang Chung's third album and second on Geffen Records. Instead of following up on the success that Points on the Curve landed them, the band switched gears to produce an original motion picture soundtrack. The switch allowed for them to experiment with different styles of music from the conventional pop music on their previous album. Released in 1985, only the album's title song made it on the US Billboard Hot 100 where it peaked at #41.
TV Guide: An astonishing, brilliantly edited car chase--with pursuer and pursued speeding the wrong way along the LA Freeway--is one of many pleasures in this darkly stylish crime film, director William Friedkin's best effort since THE EXORCIST. Richard Chance (William L. Petersen) is a Secret Service agent whose partner (Michael Greene) is brutally slain by a counterfeiting gang led by Rick Masters (Willem Dafoe). Chance is now teamed with tyro John Vukovich (John Pankow) and is determined to bring his partner's killer to justice. His quest leads him into the world of Masters, a talented artist who has given up painting and turned to making superb reproductions of $20 bills...
